SHELTER ISLAND RETREAT

The Shelter Island Retreat clients wanted an expanded house with ample space for relaxation. To blend the interior and exterior seamlessly, we created various covered and open indoor/outdoor spaces for our clients to unwind and entertain. We designed and built a new addition featuring a large living room, dining room, a custom double-sided wood-burning fireplace, a new functional kitchen, a built-in bar, extra guest rooms & a fully renovated bathroom on the lower level.

A detached garage was built to accommodate vehicles and store year-round recreational gear. The backside of the garage featured a covered porch perfect for entertaining guests, offering a view of the new pool, a spacious seating area, and a custom cooking area. The surrounding outdoor area, designed in collaboration with Dirtworks Landscape Architecture, connects the two buildings and the pool, featuring native gardens and various options for activities of different group sizes.
