The design-savvy owners of this modest Salt-Box cottage commissioned us to create an addition to their home that emphasizes the counterpoint of new vs. old with the juxtaposition of a modern form to the existing cottage. The result is a functional amalgam of the two with the older conservative spaces opening in volume and light within the new addition. It utilizes hydronic and passive solar energy components, and geothermal heating and cooling.
