IN PROGRESS: A GLASS CONNECTION

This returning client approached us with a vision inspired by the simplicity, restraint, and connection to nature found in Japanese architecture. The goal was to create a new connection between the existing residence and detached garage while providing much-needed storage for coats, shoes, and daily essentials.

The new glass-enclosed breezeway transforms the passage between the two structures into a thoughtful transition space, balancing function with a strong connection to the surrounding landscape. Integrated storage is carefully incorporated into the design while expansive glazing preserves uninterrupted views of the Hudson River, allowing the landscape to remain the defining feature of the space.
