This 21st Century getaway cabin features a double-high glass corner that offers tall views of the landscape from within and provides a warm “glowing” effect when viewed from the surrounding landscape. Set onto a warm wood wrap-around deck, this cube dwelling is shaded by vertical and horizontal shading devices, in order to take full advantage of the winter sun while shading the interior spaces in the summer.

On the interior, all of the spaces have access to the light and air from the tall corner window. These spaces include an efficiently planned L-shaped great room on the upper level which overlooks the entry lounge, and an open-plan master bedroom with adjoining full master bath.
