Elan Corporate Offices New York, NY

The design for the New York flagship office of Elan Pharmaceutical, an Irish pharmaceutical company, centers around the desire bring daylight and views into the interior. Natural lighting comes from a single wall of south-facing windows.

We introduced transparent dividing walls to the executive offices along that facade that allow light to penetrate deep into the inside. In front of these offices, a gently curving wall tracks the sun's progression. Materials become progressively more solid further inside the office, transitioning from glass to wood to steel at the entrance. The use of a strong blue element emphasizes the firm's brand.
